Community BBQ Kicks-Off emPowerSBC in North County!

More than 90 Santa Barbara County residents gathered at the Halsell Barn in Orcutt in December to enjoy a home-cooked barbeque and learn about the emPowerSBC program, sponsored by hosts Joe and James Halsell of Halsell Builders.

 

emPowerSBC provides low cost financing to assist homeowners in making home energy upgrades. Attendees learned about the steps of the program including how to select energy efficient upgrades; how to find qualified contractors; how to apply for a rebate of up to $4,000 and how to access financing.

 

Representatives of CoastHills Federal Credit Union, one of the program's financial partners, were available to answer homeowners' questions and provide additional information on competitive loan rates.
