SimpleStart Upgrade

An easy path to efficiency
Not ready to undergo a full energy upgrade or just need to make one last energy efficiency upgrade?  Then SimpleStart Upgrade may be the right option for you. This option allows you to pick and choose one or more qualified upgrades that are eligible for single measure utility rebates and emPower financing.   

Eligibility for each SimpleStart measure is contingent on the gas and electric utility provider for the property. Please see below to see which SimpleStart Upgrades you may be qualified for. All measures to be financed will need to be completed in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined by your respective utility provider.

When you and your participating contractor are ready to get started, please begin by completing the Pre-Application form.

For Customers of Southern California Gas Company:

Attic Insulation Insulate ≥ R-30 (if there is less than 24" of attic clearance R≥19 is accepted); Any existing insulation must be ≤R-11 $0.15/sq. ft.
Wall Insulation Insulate ≥ R-13; Existing walls must be uninsulated $0.15/sq. ft.













For Customers of Southern California Edison:
