Emphasis: Power is an independent non-profit organization that strives to ensure 100% clean energy to ensure the health and well-being of the community. We partner with various community organizations and environmental justice groups to advocate for accessibility to solar for everyone.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to 100% clean and equitable clean power throughout the U.S. by 2050. We are committed to providing renewable energy solutions for homes and businesses all across the country. We aim to help households and businesses transition easily from fossil fuels to renewable energy.

Most of our energy comes from solar, and we use sunshine to create a clean economy for the community. We work to ensure affordable, equitable, and hassle-free energy alternatives for everyone.

Our Vision

Founded in 2005, Emphasis: Power envisions a 100% clean powered future that repowers the community. We use solar energy to support the health and well-being of every household in the U.S.

The majority of our energy comes from solar because it is plentiful, affordable, and eco-friendly. Solar energy is also popular and comes with a lot of benefits to the local community.

We advocate for 100% clean power in both regulatory and legislative platforms at the state level. We use these areas since this is where most of the electricity decision-making is made.

Our Impact

Since 2005, Emphasis: Power has been at the forefront, making an impact by repowering our communities with 100% clean, resilient energy. Through coalition building and public engagement, we can advocate for state-level clean energy to drive meaningful climate progress.

We strive to expand clean energy opportunities to many people in the U.S. through the political spectrum. We also work hard to deploy our resources and expand diverse solar markets.

How We Work

We have engaged and been in partnerships with community organizations and other organizations in the solar industry. Here is how we ensure that our voices and that of all our allies are well-represented in the energy industry and bring in discussions to impact our communities:

  • We work to ensure commitment to equity, diversity, justice, and inclusion. By including everyone, we can ensure a clean energy future.
  • We have an Access & Equity Advisory Committee that identifies the best practices, challenges, and solutions for affordable solar programs implementation.
  • We offer support for policies that contribute to the equitable distribution of community wealth.
  • To incorporate more people of color in the solar and clean-tech workforce.
